When I was a child, my dad had a wood shop in the back yard. Oh, how I loved playing in there. He would save me scrap pieces of wood, hand me a hammer, nails and some glue and I could spend hours "helping" my dad build things.
We were up at my dad's house for father's day and he gave John William a box of finely sanded scrap blocks of wood that he had been saving for him. Oh, how he loves them! It is so special to see JW playing in my dad's shop with those "magical" scraps of wood just as I did thirty some years ago. It's come full circle.....and that just makes me smile
