Remember colorforms? They first came out in 1951, just pieces of plastic vinyl that stuck to a board and they were fantastic fun. I can still remember them from my childhood. I came across a set at the store some time ago and this is our first time creating with them. John Will made this plane. Just to give you a little explanation so you can fully appreciate the artwork. The red triangles on the wings are laser guns. The yellow circle with an "x" at the front of the plane indicates "No Diving" and the red "x" on the nose of the plane indicates "No Smoking"
Think of it like the safety instruction card they have you review when you get on an airplane.
He was fascinated with this card the last time we flew. In fact he spent hours studying it on our way to Hawaii. I believe this may have been the inspiration for this art piece. Symbols are a fascination lately, especially ones with a red slash indicating that you shouldn't do something.
We're taking bids is you'd like a copy for your personal art collection. :)
