FIRST DAY

Today was John William's first day at preschool and he did great!
I can't begin to explain how much I love this school.....
It's on 30 acres, with a walking and bike trails.  They grow there own food and every meal is home cooked in their kitchen.  The ladies that work there have a gentleness that remind you of your favorite grandma.

John Will is in the Rainbow Room.  There are only 13 kids in his class for summer session, so it's a great way to get used to a larger class setting without be overwhelmed with a huge number of kids.

Here's the gang...waiting for a kiss goodbye
It seems to be tradition that mom's give them a kiss through the gate as they leave
(I, of course, love this idea!)
From the left, Anthony, Brody, John Will, & John
You may recognize Anthony & John, they are already good friends of ours
Brody was his first "new" friend he made this morning

Didn't take long to start having some fun!

This is just to give you an idea of the playground area.  It's huge and covered with this great big shade trees.  The kids are allowed lots of time throughout the day to enjoy it.  As soon as it gets a bit warmer, they will put pools out for the children to splash in.  Now doesn't that sound like fun!  When I reminded John Will that we were going to school this morning.  He got a little concerned and then proceeded to ask a series of questions,  "Do they have a lot of colors?  Do they have lots of shapes there?  Do they have a rug with colors and numbers?  Will Anthony be there?  Will you pick me up?"  After I assured him that each of these were true, he was happy to go to school.  It  was obviously his criteria for a good preschool.  So, suffice to say, both of us are extremely happy with his new school.
