Shhhhh....STOP TALKING

I can't believe it....it's really happened. I had to tell my son to stop talking. For years we've been trying to get him to talk, have enlisted the help of specialists and speech therapy, run test after test after test. Then about 3 weeks ago, I put him to bed and no joke, he woke up a chatterbox. It was like he progressed in his verbal communication about 6 month in 9 sleep filled hours.

All this time I've been hoping and praying, and the time has come. I guess when I was making those requests I forgot to specify that I would prefer he gab between the hours of 6am-10pm. The other night, I found myself repeatedly telling him to stop talking and go to sleep at 4:30am. (No that is not a typo...4:30am!) He's going on and on about the need for a snowblower that blows snow and stickers. He is insistent that this is something that he will need in the morning and no matter how I try to explain that is is likely to 100 degrees out and I'm just about positive that there will be no snow, he can not be deterred or quieted. He is also sharing his sadness over his lack of party hat and flowers. So deprived this child is. No snowblower that sprays stickers, no flowers or party hats. Clearly the day is is not off to a good start for the little man.

So, you can tell that not only has the speech improved dramatically so has the imagination or ability to share it. He didn't have the ability to explain or ask for these things before and that he does, it requires me to constantly answer why we can't have these things....my standard answer...ASK SANTA! But remember he only works between 6am-10pm.
